Job Description

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for handling the importation process for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products by placing needed orders through SAP system for 28 months forward.

  • Responsible to request and accurately coordinate the handling of all shipment documents to secure needed approvals from (bank, MOH and customs authority).

  • Daily follow up with supplier/logistics centre to ensure requested orders are delivered on time.

  • Daily follow up with bank and clearance agent to ensure that goods will be released from customs as planned to secure monthly sales targets.

  • Responsible for warehouse management in terms of notifying warehouse manager for incoming transactions and revise outgoing quantities (FIFO method) after MOH release.

  • Coordinates monthly reconciliation to ensure that quantities stored at warehouse are correct in addition to annual physical count with participation of legal and accounting departments.

  • Coordination with other departments to secure products to achieve monthly forecasted sales and updating monthly demand sales sheet.

  • Organizing work schedule and track shipments location and status at all times.

  • Ensure full compliance with Egyptian regulations and possess a thorough understanding of Egyptian Customs and Border Protection requirements for goods entering Egypt.

  • Handle arrangements for freight shipments in a timely and cost-effective manner and communicate any delays to the company.

  • Recommend renewing contracts or switching to companies that may provide better service or charge a lower price.

  • Develop contingency plans to facilitate or expedite a shipment in the event of shipment disruptions.

  • Maintain records for accounting purposes in accordance with company procedures, including the checking of all invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and Customs regulations.

  • Maintain good working relationships with clients, vendors, banks and government agency representatives. Have regular meetings with different stakeholders to develop goodwill and address issues.

  • Responsible for Audits or questions about transactions, if the company receives a visit from a regulatory agency such as Egyptian Customs.

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification and certification.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a multinational company.

  • Effective communication/negotiation skills.

  • Hard worker with durable personality/proactive nature.

  • Good analytical skills.

  • Excellent Excel and Presentation skills.

  • Excellent written/oral English skills.

  • Excellent follow up and project management skills.
