As our new Sr. Software Engineer you will be part of our local Innovations Team consisting of 100+ Engineers supporting various Engineering functions: Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems and Process. As part of our highly skilled and motivated global engineering organization you will be encouraged to take broad responsibility and resolve challenging problems. Although our products and solutions are complex, you will be personally influencing the end results. Within Kulicke & Soffa you will be working in an informal atmosphere, solving challenging projects and developing personal growth. As a Sr. Software Engineer at Kulicke & Soffa Netherlands, your primary task will be to develop software for the soft real-time coordination of motion control, pick-and-place processes, image acquisition and processing, (object)recognition and processing. Youll be part of one of the software development teams of 5-10 (Sr.) Software Engineers. In this self-steering team youll work on realization of the software through a scrum based, agile way of working. You and the team will work on the full development cycle of new features, product enhancement, troubleshooting and debugging both in simulation as well as on the machines in our engineering lab. Our total software development and testing group consists of 60 engineers, responsible for the whole of requirements, design, implementation and testing of new features and functions. We design software to control, support and use our Advanced Packaging and Electronic Assembly machines that are known for their high output at high accuracy with growing flexibility, as the market requests. Your main responsibilities are: Reviewing and co-specifying requirements Designing and coding the software Implementation and testing To be successful in this challenging innovation environment you must bring a Bachelors degree (or higher) and relevant experience with software development to control high-tech mechatronic equipment. You will be challenged with arriving at solutions for complex scenarios and working in a multidisciplinary environment.
