Network Administrator

Job Description:
Network processing, centralized and distributive network connection

Installing, configuring and administering network technologies

Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, FTP, TFTP)

Well understanding of Bridging and switching concepts and LAN technologies

IP addressing and subnetting, Routing concepts

knowledge of routing protocols - RIP V1/V2, OSPF, IGRP & EIGRP

knowledge of VOIP CODEC G.711 – G.722 – G.729 -

Switches: Basic Configuration & VLAN setup on Cisco and HP Switches.

Router: Basic Configuration & monitoring of Cisco and HP

Vlan: configuration, switching dotlq

Back-up and restore of all critical resources including router ,switches ASA, fortigate and ironport

Functioning knowledge of wan solution

Security administration port security on switch and IP security on Router via Access list

Design, administer, maintain and support of the availability, performance and security of the network systems that include Routers, Firewalls, Switches, PBX platforms, Circuits and servers evidencing strong knowledge of security, switching, and routing technologies

Use Web Config and CLI to complete administration and maintenance tasks of the FortiGate Unified Threat Management appliance.

Understand the basic differences between the NAT/Route and Transparent operational modes.

Implement logging to a FortiAnalyzer appliance.

Construct firewall policies to control traffic passing through the FortiGate unit.

Enable authentication for local users of the FortiGate Unified Threat Management appliance.

Implement SSL VPNs to offer secure access to private networks.

Implement threat management filtering including antivirus, email filtering, web filtering, data leak prevention, application control and endpoint control.

Set up virtual domains and configure inter-VDOM routing between two FortiGate units

Configure a FortiGate unit in Transparent Mode

Implement a high availability cluster configuration using two FortiGate devices and use diagnostics and debug commands to troubleshoot and monitor HA operations

Configure a Hub-Spoke and partial meshed VPN as well as execute diagnostics to troubleshoot and monitor IKE exchanges

Work with intrusion prevention system (IPS) profiles as well as denial of service (DoS) policies to protect network resources from attack » Use diagnostics and logging to monitor proper use of IPS

Describe Fortinet Single Sign On (FSSO) communications and configure FSSO to allow the FortiGate unit to collect authentication information from Windows Active Directory

Prepare the FortiGate unit for SSL-based inspection as well as understand details of how inspection is performed, general layout of a certificate and how encryption functions are used

Monitoring and management of the whole network components using HOPV servers (NNMi, NA, ISPi) and IMC
