Brief Summary:-

An Irrigation Engineer specializes in designing, implementing, and managing irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use for agricultural, landscaping, or environmental purposes. They work on projects that optimize water distribution, conserve resources, and improve crop yields or land sustainability.

Roles & Responsibilities:-

• Develop and design irrigation systems ensuring they meet the specific water requirements and distribution of the area. Familiarity with CAD software and irrigation design tools.
• Operation and maintenance for existing irrigation systems, ensuring they function efficiently and identify any issues or areas for improvement, which include preventive and corrective maintenance procedure and schedule.
• Optimize water usage by recommending and implementing water-saving solutions, such as drip irrigation, sprinklers, and soil moisture sensors.
• Update and adjust irrigation schedules between winter and summer seasons.
• Installation, Operation and maintenance of irrigation pumps and connections.
• Rainbird irrigation System Knowledge, configuration.

Qualification & Experience:-

Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or certification in irrigation design (preferred).

2-5 years of experience in irrigation system design, implementation, or management.

Knowledge of sustainable water practices and precision agriculture technologies.

Experience with drip, sprinkler, and other irrigation methods.

Familiarity with local water regulations and environmental standards.
