Senior/Staff/Principal DSP Engineers for MediaTek

The Analog Design and Circuit Technology team at MediaTek Egypt is searching for qualified candidates to join our fast-growing team. As a member of this dynamic team, you will get to work on state-of-the-art next generation wireline and optical transceivers for data centers serving cloud infrastructure as well as the growing field of AI and high-performance computing. We are looking for ambitious DSP/system designers who are willing to learn, grow and contribute to diverse portfolio of products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop advanced algorithms for future wireline connectivity and optical transceivers.
• Implement high-level DSP algorithms in MATLAB, and C/C++.
• Perform design trade-off and optimization in terms of performance, complexity, and power consumption.
• Collaborate with ASIC, Analog-Mixed Signal, and Digital design teams from different sites worldwide, providing full support for fixed-point design, pre- and post-silicon verifications in product development.
• Conduct advanced research and development activities in wireline and optical communication areas.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• B.Sc. +3 years’ experience or MS or higher in Electrical Engineering with a focus on system design.
• Strong theoretical analysis skills and a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts of communication systems.
• Research with publications or industry design experience in wireline and optical systems is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in physical layer simulation of communications systems
• Proficiency in MATLAB and C/C++ for algorithm design, integration, and verification.
• Familiarity with wireline communication specifications, impairments modelling, and compensation is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, a team-player and good working attitude.
