Position purpose Member of the Bapetco engineering team, with primary focus on mechanical static and rotating equipment, and supporting both projects and Field Maintenance and Operations.

The engineering team is capable of providing the necessary expertise and leadership for the successful delivery of opportunities from initiation to handover. The candidate will form an integral part of this team and requires a proven experience base to ensure maximum value is delivered by the team. The candidate is expected to operate as TA3/TA2 level and participate in the technical reviews of Facility Change Proposals (FCP’s).

Accountabilities

Development of the Design Basis of Rotating and Static Equipment ; and s pecify equipment design operating envelopes ensure adequate performance flexibility for the given duty. Participate and lead commissioning and start-up activities of Rotating equipment. Identify and apply innovative, cost saving technology and novel business solutions, in order to reduce the average UTC of Bapetco’s hydrocarbon development projects and to maximise their economic benefits to the JV. To provide effective consultancy to field operations/maintenance to resolve rotating equipment problems. Participate in review and assurance of Facility Change Proposals (FCP’s)

Requirements

University degree in an Engineering science plus 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering with specialization in rotating equipment in the EP industry. Additional exposure to static equipment engineering is required. Knowledge of maintenance and integrity issues in the full life cycle of rotating equipment are an advantage. Awareness of other engineering disciplines such as instrumentation, electrical, pipelines and civil engineering an advantage to enable ease of working relationships. Conversant with Group DEP and international oil and gas facilities design codes and standards. Minimum TA3 level as a rotating equipment engineer or mechanical static engineer. .
