Job Description

Job Description The primary responsibilities of this position is the delivery of Power Projects, and providing technical support to field operations/maintenance regarding power and electrical systems. The project responsibilities will cover all project phases, including conceptual design including FEED, detail design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning and handover.

The Bapetco Projects Department has an Engineering Team to manage the engineering and quality aspects of projects. The engineering team is capable of providing the necessary expertise and leadership for the successful delivery of opportunities from initiation to handover. The candidate will form an integral part of this team and requires a proven experience base to ensure maximum value is delivered by the team. He will act a deputy to the lead electrical engineer, who is also Bapetco TA1 for electrical. The candidate is expected to operate as TA3/TA2 level and participate in the technical reviews of Facility Change Proposals (FCP’s)

The Candidate Will Be Accountable To

Ensure all Electrical Projects and Facility Change Proposals assigned to him are delivered on time and within budget. Exercising all aspects of technical oversight over Contractors such that the projects are safely delivered to the required standards and agreed schedules. Technical review of Facility Change Proposals Technical support to Field Maintenance regarding problems with electrical systems

Requirements Experience & Requirements

Minimum of 10 year experience in the E&P industry, as an Electrical Engineer within Projects or Maintenance. Recent project management experience is preferred.

Bachelor degree as a minimum is required for work permit application.
