Job Purpose:

• Plan, Execute, and Approve Technology Management Activities (Intellectual Property Protection - Technology Scouting - External Cooperation).
• Keep abreast with the current and latest technology trends. This challenging, research-oriented role combines the skills of Scientific Expertise, IP Skills, and Data Science.

Job Responsibilities:

• Intellectual Property Management ( search, drafting, writing, application, analysis, litigation, prosecution, Patent invalidation, IP transactional matters, Preparing claim charts and other related work).
• Conduct a comprehensive search, evaluate, and analysis of patent and technical information.
• Perform and present competition patent analyses for the different products, based on the results, formulate recommendations on the portfolio strategy.
• Assist in the creation of a development plan using those portfolios.
• Co-ordinate and deliver company-wide training on IP-awareness,(Create awareness of the importance of Intellectual Property in the organization).
• Organize and execute IP-checks of intended publications.
• Forecast and guard against company IP legal risks.
• Plans, implements, and follows up the procedures for submitting patent applications in cooperation with legal specialists to obtain patents on time.
• Support inventors to prepare invention disclosures (Work with inventors, prepare patent applications and replies to communications from patent offices during the patent application process).
• Reviews and approves the outputs of the patent drafting process to ensure that the drafting matches the standards set for the correct drafting.
• Document the reports and technical documents of intellectual property protection operations with the aim of achieving standards of acquiring expertise and knowledge.
• Assist lawyers in the preparation of patentability, validity, freedom to operate and infringement opinions.
• Knowledge databases management.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Master's degree in engineering (or equivalent) in the field of Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
• Experience or strong interest in invention and patent application processes.
• Experience evaluating patents on their technical merit.
• Background experience in the transfer of technology, and assessment of patents/intellectual property for development or acquisition.
• A strong collaborative engineer who can communicate effectively and knows how to get things done through formal and informal channels.
• A strong passion for technology and innovation.
• Patent search capabilities, with the objectives of creating technology landscapes and evaluating competition IP portfolio.
• Driven, analytical and communicative personality.
• Fluency in English (written and oral), good communicational skills.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Able to multi-task with excellent attention for details.
• Knowledge of the patent system, and previous experience with patent searching tools and techniques would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of data science would be an advantage.
• Strong technical background with proven technical competencies.
