SENIOR MICROSOFT SQL SERVER DBA

Al Ahly Tamkeen is now hiring “Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA”
Responsibilities:
– Design and maintain new and existing databases for system applications.
– Support analysts, architects, and administrators in evaluating technical requirements and develop database models for building and integrating new information systems.
– Write the codes for new types of databases and creating security measures to protect sensitive data.
– Identify and assess user needs to implement and maintain database systems.
– Design models that administrators use for building data frameworks and infrastructure.
– Run diagnostic tests, create backup measures to restore data and prevent information loss.
– Integrating cyber security applications to protect data from unauthorised access.
– Ensure the performance of data systems and troubleshoot technical errors.
– Testing database modifications and updates to ensure optimum performance.
– Administrate databases functions.
– Manage Database performance and disk usage.
– Configure, install, test, and maintain databases and their associated software such as version upgrades, patches, and tools.
– Accountable for database proper backup and disaster recovery procedures incorporation with Systems Infrastructure teams.
– Work with development teams to plan and promote changes to production.
– Coordinate and manage patching and other policies while adhering to company-wide policies.
– Ability to closely work with System Administrators and Product Owners for continuing support of databases.
– Ensure that databases adhered with security standards and polices.
– Designs and implements databases architectures and its related capacity planning.
– Identification and resolution of technical problems and malfunctions related to databases administration.

Qualifications:
. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
. Must have a Minimum of 5 years conducting general database administration tasks (e.g. DB implementation, DB code deployments, DB backups, creation of DB user accounts).
. Must have experience in administering database platform specific advanced features (g. clustering, encryption, logical/physical standby, ETL, replication) and performance optimising server database servers and SQL code.
. Writing and improving SQL Server T-SQL queries .
. Proficient in MS SQL Server 2014 – 2019 .
. SSIS Package creation and debugging skills.
. Stored procedure development and tuning.
. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively with business areas, IT Support teams and peers.
. Ability to document technical as well as management process flows.
