El Salam for Contracting & General Supplying is looking to hire:
Mechanical Technical Office Engineer
Job Responsibilities
1. Study the assigned projects documents including drawings, specifications, BOQ (Bill of Quantity), RFI (Request for information), correspondence…etc. to take into consideration all the projects’ details during execution.
2. Communicate with concerned departments to prepare the general procurement plan.
3. Prepare a monthly procurement and financial plan to determine the site needs for the upcoming month.
4. Review material requests and contracting requests and follow up their implementation.
5. Follow-up and review the shop drawings with the projects and the as-built drawings before project closure to resolve any conflict.
6. Communicate with the consultant to obtain the approval and then share the shop drawings with all the concerned parties on sites.
7. Review the estimated quantity survey to determine the quantity of material that needs to be purchased or procured.
8. Prepare the subcontractors’ and client’s invoices based on the progress report sent by the sites engineer.
9. Follow-up with the subcontractors on all issues related to engineering.
10. Prepare and follow up the Variation Orders and prepare Notice to Claim in cooperation with the contracts team.
11. Prepare periodical reports such as Quantity Executed Invoices and send them to the concerned departments in the headquarters.
12. Investigate technical problems in the sites and select the most appropriate solution according to the cost and time.
13. Provide the Technical Office Engineers with the needed support and guidance to carry out their responsibilities.
14. Assist in preparation of method of statement with Construction and Quality Control teams.
Job Requirements
1. Proven working experience in mechanical engineering.
2. Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or other)
3. Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (HAP and others)
4. Creativity and analytical skills
5. Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
6. Technical writing skills
7. BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
8. 3-7 years of experience
