Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and execute the business development strategy for Souq.com to support the product vision and road map.
Identify and prioritize key partnership opportunities with a wide range of partners.
Define key partnership terms & parameters with the Souq.com business, legal, technical teams.
Lead cross-functional efforts that include working with Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Tax, Accounting and senior management.
Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage partnerships that can involve commerce, marketing, operational, content, and technology components.
Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships and work with appropriate stakeholders across Souq.com and other groups at Souq.com.
Coordinate with other Souq.com business development professionals to leverage established relationships and present a unified vision to our partners.
Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (In Business, Commerce or Engineering)
8+ years of business development experience in the Internet, commerce, marketing and/or technology industries
Demonstrated track record of identifying and executing successful partnerships and large scale deals, particularly in the ecommerce, operations, and digital media industries
Significant experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
