Senior Cost Control Engineer for DOPET
Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Control Engineer to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
As a Senior Cost Control Engineer at DOPET, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing robust cost control procedures and systems to monitor project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts.
Leading cost estimation and forecasting efforts, collaborating closely with project teams and stakeholders to establish accurate cost baselines and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Conducting in-depth analysis of project cost data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to project managers and senior leadership.
Reviewing and approving contractor and vendor invoices, change orders, and claims, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project budget constraints.
Generating regular cost reports and financial analyses, highlighting key findings and recommendations to support project decision-making and reporting requirements.
Providing mentorship and guidance to junior cost control staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
Representing the cost control function in project meetings, presentations, and negotiations, serving as a subject matter expert on cost-related matters.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 12+ years of experience in cost control within the EPC Oil & Gas industry.
Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
In-depth knowledge of cost control principles, practices, and methodologies.
Proficiency in cost management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle Primavera, Microsoft Excel).
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in deliverables.
Professional certification (e.g., CCP, CCE, PMP) is advantageous.
