Architect for Dorra Development

Dorra Development is currently looking for a talented and motivated architect to join our team.

Job Description:

•Preparing construction drawings from received schematic designs of new projects
• Preparing all drawings and documents required for obtaining permits from different authorities
• Revewing drawings, to verify their compliance with local building codes & regulations.
• Controlling technical revision of all architecture drawings, at different phases of the work progress.
• Reveiwing structure & MEP drawings and technical coordination between all disciplines.
• Preparing & updating projects’ BOQs and calculating quantities.
• Creating any required construction details.
• Responding to RFIs and site queries.
• Attending meetings with consultants, contractors & suppliers as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree of architecture engineering (2-5) years of experience in technical office.
• Computer proficiency: AutoCAD, REVIT, Photoshop, Microsoft programs are a must.,
• Very Good in English language.
• Proven experience with technical drawings and details.
• Extensive knowledge of preparing BOQs (in both Arabic & English languages) including quantity survey.
• Strong technical knowledge of structure & electro-mechanical design concepts and strong coordination skills.
• Knowledge of design standards, local codes and government regulations.
• Possession of great work ethics, high degree of integrity and willingness to put in the hours whenever needed.
• High organization skills and ability to prioritize & concurrently service multiple projects.
• Ability to manage own time.
• Critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• A good eye for details.
• Ability to work & perform under pressure.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and other team members.
