Production Engineer for Elsewedy Industries Group

Key Responsibilities:

Casting Process Management:

• Supervise and manage the casting process, including mold preparation, metal melting, pouring, and cooling. Monitor casting parameters such as temperature, pouring speed, and mold conditions to ensure consistent product quality. Develop and maintain process control documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Mold and Material Management:

• Oversee the design, maintenance, and quality of casting molds to ensure durability and precision. Select and test raw materials, alloys, and additives to achieve the desired mechanical properties of cast components. Work closely with suppliers to ensure the availability and quality of casting materials.

Quality Assurance:

• Inspect cast products to identify defects such as porosity, shrinkage, or surface imperfections. Collaborate with the Quality Control team to analyze defects and implement corrective actions. Ensure all cast components meet industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality criteria.

Process Optimization:

• Analyze and optimize the casting process to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize defects. Implement new techniques, technologies, or equipment to enhance casting performance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven approaches for continuous improvement.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Ensure regular maintenance and cleaning of casting equipment, including furnaces, molds, and cooling systems. Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the casting process to minimize downtime. Coordinate with the maintenance team for major repairs or equipment upgrades.

Collaboration and Training:

• Work closely with production and design teams to ensure cast components meet design and functional requirements. Provide technical guidance and training to casting operators and technicians on best practices and safety protocols. Foster a collaborative environment to drive innovation and problem-solving within the team.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols and regulations during all casting operations. Conduct safety inspections and address potential hazards in the casting area.
