The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive MEP Engineer responsible for the design, documentation, coordination, and production of shop drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for our interior fit-out projects. This role is central to our strategic transition to BIM, utilizing Revit MEP as the primary design, coordination, and documentation tool. You will work in a small, integrated team, ensuring clash-free, efficient, and high-quality MEP solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical Power & Lighting, Low Current, Plumbing, Drainage) based on project requirements, architectural/ID designs, and relevant codes/standards.

• Coordinate the integration of Fire Protection system designs (received from certified parties) with other MEP systems and architectural/ID elements.

• Perform necessary engineering calculations (load calculations, voltage drop, pipe/duct sizing, etc.).

• Develop detailed MEP models and produce comprehensive MEP construction/shop drawings primarily using Revit MEP. Proficiency in AutoCAD for support tasks is also required.

• Lead MEP coordination efforts, proactively identifying and resolving clashes between MEP systems and with architectural/structural elements using Revit and/or Navisworks.

• Collaborate closely with the Interior Designer and Technical Office throughout the design process.

• Prepare technical specifications and developing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for MEP works.

• Ensure all MEP designs and documentation strictly comply with relevant building codes, international standards, and project specifications.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in MEP systems design for buildings, preferably with experience in interior fit-out projects (commercial, administrative, governmental and residential).

• Mandatory expert proficiency and proven project experience using Revit MEP for both design and shop drawing production. Candidates without strong Revit MEP skills will not be considered.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems design principles and calculations.

• Proven ability in interdisciplinary coordination and clash detection/resolution.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding and practical application experience with relevant international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.), with specific knowledge of Saudi Building Codes (SBC) being highly advantageous.

• Experience with specialized calculation software (e.g., HAP, Elite, DIALux, ETAP).

• Experience using Navisworks Manage for clash detection.

• Experience in preparing Method Statements for MEP works.

• Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
