As a Market Manager, you will be a part of the Power Grids Division based in Cairo, responsible for Sales of Grid integration Systems and Services, and establishing long term relationships and managing resolution to specific customer needs and issues. The Power Grids division is the world’s leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions across the power value chain of generation, transmission and distribution enabling a stronger, smarter and greener grid. Supporting Power Grid-Grid Integration local team in marketing and sales activities and representing the interests of the Global GPG and Business Unit. Developing profitable and sustainable sales for SI and service portfolio in Egypt and Horn of Africa. Implementing Business Unit strategies in conjunction with HBU Sales and marketing manager and Local Sales management. Implementing the PGGI service and system integration sales and marketing strategy, and monitoring how target markets respond to the sales and marketing efforts while providing appropriate feedback.
Development of the local resources, ensuring all personnel have appropriate competences/knowledge of products, internal tools and processes. Responsible for the Total Demand market of the Business Unit including third party sales, internal sales and channels. Responsible for the demand side budget of the Country. Aligning Salesforce.com and abacus demand. Responsible for the marketing intelligence process including detailed market analysis, understanding market drivers and trends, key competition, and emerging technologies. Market Mapping, heat map, white spots, market trends and drivers setting up corresponding strategies and action plans. Producing monthly and/or ad-hoc reports as requested by the Hub Business Unit/Local product group.Developing PGGI service & System integration business strategies and sales and marketing plans with the HBU Marketing and Sales Manager and with LPG Sales ensuring appropriate market coverage. Implementation of the PGGI service & System integration strategies & initiatives at the country level by acting as main driver of the sales and marketing efforts for the Business Unit in the Country.Managing the BU portfolio in the country together with the HBU/LPG Sales and Marketing Managers while assuring its competitiveness vis-à-vis the main local/global Competitors. Planning and implementation of customer events / trade shows and other marketing activities for customers/consultants in line with HBU/LPG Sales and Marketing Managers as well as the overall sales support material (brochures, catalogues, price lists, sales guides and Customer arguments)Assuring proposals are developed and approved to ensure negotiations can proceed on time via the PGGI sales Team in the Country. Local responsibility for the PGGI Service & System Integration mix must ensure that each commitment against every product groups & Applications is fulfilled. Track and monitor quotations (projects lists, volume of offers, won-lost analysis, provide feedback of offers, etc).Reports the expected market prices, competitors moves, new comers, alliances, new suppliers, etc.Organizing and promoting via local Service organizations appropriate after sales service and activities for all products. Reporting the outcome of the tender in SFDC with as much information as possible and in a timely fashion.
To be considered for this position, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or mechanical Engineering with minimum 10-15 years of experience, with strong knowledge of the Egyptian market and customer network and fluency in both spoken and written English and Arabic languages.
