Senior QS Engineer for Aic Steel

Job Title: Senior QS Engineer
Job Qualifications:
1-bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
2-Experience 4-6 years in Steel structure field is a must, 
3-Well versed in Excel & ERP systems, good knowledge in  
    AutoCAD and Tekla Software. 
Job Responsibilities: 
1-Reading the contract agreement and extract the necessary   
   commercial information to be used in execution stage (scope of   
   work, Method of measurements, Exclusion list, deviation list, 
   responsibility matrix, optional rates,...etc ) 
2-Survey the ISSUED FOR CONSTRUCTION QTY’s which are 
   received through the welcome package and compare it with the 
   contract drawings For Re-measurable projects, The Qs should   
   study the types of received ISSUED FOR Construction and   
   compare it to received bidding dwgs. in order to be prepared for 
   building the entitlement of any claim (complexity, change in   
   category/type,...etc )
3-Keep track for all the QTY’s in all stages during the execution
4-To be in involved with project and Engineering teams to update 
    and register the QTY’s starting from receiving IFC’s QTY’s till 
    ISSUED FOR FABRICATION in order to forecast the contract /PO   
    value in monthly basis.
5-Review the monthly Invoicing after preparation by invoicing team 
   and to be sure that the main scope and variations are invoiced
   separately.
6-Review the Drawings to validate weight and scope upon issuance 
   of the drawings from Engineering. 
7-To prepare a list of the potential claims/variations (those related 
   to qty or drawings complexity for each project.
8-Differentiate between the main scope and variations qty’s and to 
    keep the proper supporting documents for each type.
9-To assign the proper Cost codes for each project and to check  
   the proper implementation from Engineering team.  
10-Check supplier invoices and compare it with the claimed qty’s 
      from client. 
11-Prepare the final quantifications and close the final PO value   
      with Project management department and client.
12-Attend client meeting for discussing the method of 
      measurements for each project.
